What is PDF to Image?

PDF to Image saves PDF pages as pictures you can share on WhatsApp, insert into slides, or upload where only images are accepted. Choose JPG for small files or PNG for crisp text, and pick a resolution up to 300 DPI for printing. Pages are rendered by PDF.js inside your browser.

Images are easier to share in chat apps, insert into presentations or upload to sites that do not accept PDFs. Choose the resolution to balance sharpness and file size: 150 DPI is ideal for phones and email, while 300 DPI keeps small print readable when you need to print the image.

How to use PDF to Image

  1. Choose the PDF.
  2. Pick JPG or PNG and the resolution (150 DPI suits most uses).
  3. Leave Pages as all, or enter a range such as 1-3.
  4. Press Convert to images. One page downloads as an image; several pages download as a ZIP.

Important notes before you rely on the result

  • PDFs are processed in your browser tab with open-source libraries (pdf-lib and PDF.js) and are never uploaded.
  • Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened; remove the password in your PDF reader first.
  • Keep your original file. Large PDFs need free memory; on older phones work with smaller files or fewer pages at a time.

Limits and supported formats

  • Input: one PDF up to 100 MB; up to 100 pages per run.
  • Very large pages are scaled so each image stays under 16 megapixels (the limit of many phone browsers).
  • Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first.

PDF to Image: frequently asked questions

Which resolution should I choose?

72 DPI is enough for screens, 150 DPI is a good default, 200 DPI is sharper for small text, and 300 DPI is for printing. Higher DPI makes larger files.

JPG or PNG?

JPG makes much smaller files and suits photos and scans. PNG keeps text perfectly sharp but files are larger.
